In brief

Know your soil risks before you start

Before work begins, you need to know what lies beneath the surface. Is the soil contaminated? Which soil risks could affect the work?

From initial concept and design to work preparation and execution, a clear picture of the soil helps you identify risks early. With the CROW 400 module, you can carry out a digital preliminary investigation in line with NEN 5725, drawing on a wide range of soil data sources. You get fast insight into potential soil risks before work starts, so you avoid surprises later in the project.

CROW 400 is available as an extension to Klic Altijd & Overal.

Features

From first indication to substantiated preliminary investigation, all in one environment

Get a first indication of potential soil risks within minutes. A clear green/red rating shows you, segment by segment along your route, where soil contamination may be present, giving you a quick first view of the situation. The Basis Check is the first step in the preliminary investigation under NEN 5725.

With the Quickscan, you carry out the NEN 5725 preliminary investigation (Trigger G) for the green segments of your route. The Quickscan queries multiple soil data sources, calculates using your actual digging depth and delivers a conclusion for each research question. If your entire route is green, you receive a single report covering the whole route and can move straight on.

Request an additional report for any red segment. An expert will investigate the location further, looking at the substances present, the risks and the site’s history.

Basis Checks, Quickscans and additional reports all stay available in the same project environment, so you can easily find your results and reports and refer back to them during the work whenever you need to.

A digital preliminary investigation reduces the likelihood that additional physical soil testing will be needed.

  • Avoid unnecessary costs

Carry out the preliminary investigation digitally yourself, with no need to depend on a third party. Using your actual digging depth also prevents segments from being flagged as risks unnecessarily.

  • Lower risk of delays

See soil risks up front and reduce the chance of work grinding to a halt during execution.

  • Demonstrable preliminary investigation

Reports are linked to your notification and project, so you can also show in the field that the required preliminary investigation has been carried out.

Frequently asked questions

What professionals want to know about CROW 400

  • Does CROW 400 determine the safety class automatically?

No. CROW 400 does not determine the safety class automatically. It supports the NEN 5725 preliminary investigation and provides the information and reports for it. Someone with the right expertise in your organisation then assesses the results and translates them into the necessary measures and safety class.

  • Does CROW 400 replace physical soil testing?

No. With the CROW 400 module, you carry out a digital preliminary investigation under NEN 5725. This may show that physical soil testing isn’t necessary, but if there are signs of soil contamination, it may still be required.
